Withdraw Your Cash From Betting Sites Today or Forget About It

BY Juma · July 19, 2019 07:07 am

Have you been betting? Have you been placing your stake using Paybill numbers? Do you have some money still in your betting account? Is your money still with any of the 27 betting firms that were suspended?

Today is the last day you are supposed to withdraw your money in betting paybills or lose it altogether. The government had given you just 48 hours to withdraw your money and if you won’t do it today, you lose it.

During the month, the government suspended 27 betting firms and ordered telecommunication companies to suspended paybill numbers to the betting firms.

This directive does not affect betting sites whose operational licenses were renewed. If your betting site is still operational, do not panic, your stake is safe.

Some of the betting firms whose operational licenses have been canceled or deferred to a later date include:

  • SportPesa
  • Betin
  • Betway
  • Betpawa
  • Premierbet
  • Lucky 2 U
  • 1X Bet
  • Mozzartbet
  • Dafa bet
  • World Sport Bet
  • Atari Gaming
  • Palmsbet
  • Betboss
  • Betyetu
  • Elitebet
  • Bungabet
  • Cysabet
  • Nestbet
  • Easybet
  • Kick-Off
  • Millionaire Sports Bet
  • Kenya Sports Bet
  • Eastleighbet

It is not yet clear whether the government will reach an amicable solution with the suspended betting firms for them to be allowed to operate once again.

On Wednesday, the 27 betting firms in Kenya have suffered yet another setback after a court refused to issue conservatory orders against their suspension.

The betting firms had moved to court to seek orders to compel the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) to restore their operations until the case against them was heard.

Justice Weldon Korir declined to issue conservatory orders stating that he “did not see a need.”

The government declined to renew operational licenses and permits for 27 betting firms accusing them of having been in operation without following the set guidelines.
