Flame Tree Group Edges Out Umeme To Emerge as Top Gainer on Tuesday

Flame Tree Group emerged as the top gainer of the day at Nairobi Securities Exchange on Tuesday with 10.00 percent at the price of 2.75 shillings per share followed by East African Cables with 9.73 percent at the price of 2.48 shillings per share.

Standard Group, Sanlam Kenya and Home Afrika gained 8.46, 8.26 and 5.45 percent at the price of 29.50, 19.00 and 0.58 shillings per share respectively.

Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT was the top loser of the day with 9.80 percent at the price of 8.10 shillings per share followed by TPS East Africa (Serena) with 8.84 percent at the price of 18.05 shillings per share.

Mumias Sugar Company, Umeme, and Eveready East Africa lost 8.57, 7.41 and 6.54 percent at the price of 0.32, 7.50 and 1.00 shillings per share respectively.

The top mover of the day was Safaricom who sold 3.60 million shares (the only stock that moved volumes above a million) followed by Kenya Airways with 439,200 shares.

The East African Breweries Limited, KCB Group, and Equity Group sold 385,400, and 314,800, and 149,400 shares respectively.
