Veteran Kikuyu benga musician John Demathew is dead.

The news of John Demathew’s death surfaced across social media platforms on Sunday night, at around 11:30 PM.

The musician perished in a road accident at Blue Post, along Thika Road.

His vehicle is said to have rammed into a lorry as he was on his way from a Harambee where he had gone to support his fellow musician.
