Before buying that television set, here is what you should consider

Not every television is suitable for you. You cannot just walk into an electronics shop and walk out with television without sampling through. The buying of television starts at your home and here are the things you should consider:
The space the TV is to be placed
Do you have a TV Space within your room? How large or small is it? You do not want to buy a TV only to return it because the space is too small or too big for it to fit. Measure the space. Am in love with LG TV series and before I buy one, I make sure it fits exactly where I want it to be.
The size of your viewing room/space
The best way to have a clear view of your TV is to be at a distance from the screen. How big is your viewing room? This will help you determine the size of the television and how you will arrange the distance from it to where you sit.
The model/brand
As I said before, not every TV model is suitable for you. You need quality. Not just anything that has sound and shows images. What is your brand? Mine is LG Electronics with their LG OLED series. You can never regret having one of their OLED in your house.
The color of your television set
The above might look small but, hey, do not ignore it. The color of your television set matters a lot. You have to get something that blends with your walls and the living room in general. I will advise you to go for the color black. You will love it.
“Why do most professional photographers count on black? A small but fundamental difference that defines every color; a basic principle, but it hasn’t been seen perfectly until now. Open your eyes for you have yet to experience all the colors in the world,” says LG Signature.
Each OLED pixel can independently brighten, dim and power off fully to achieve perfect black. That means picture contrast — the difference between the lightest and darkest areas of the screen — is truly infinite. Perfect black helps colors pop and makes possible the great shadow detail OLED is known for. The end result is more lifelike images.
The sound/image quality
The best things on a TV are the sound and the image quality. In the absence of these two, you are better off with a radio. Is the TV you want to buy equipped with inbuilt speakers? How powerful are they? What about the image quality? Can you catch every corner of your favorite character in the movie, for instance?
The picture quality is determined by the screen surface. Check to see if the TV has a glossy or matte screen. Also look at its black levels, especially, when the TV is on. Deep black levels enhance both contrast and color. You also need to check on the display resolution. It is expressed in pixels.
The best sounding TV we’ve tested so far is the LG E8 OLED. It’s a TV with a dedicated soundbar and it can get fairly loud. Its bass has a good amount of body and punch, but its sub-bass can’t deliver thump and rumble to mimic a movie theater experience. The dialog is clear and intelligible even at higher volumes, which is great.
This TV has excellent picture quality. It can deliver perfect blacks thanks to its emissive technology and offers a remarkable dark room performance for outstanding movie experiences. It has a wide color gamut and HDR content is full of rich colors and bright highlights. Motion handling is excellent. The response time is almost instantaneous, and fast-moving content has very little blur trail. It has great wide viewing angles and is a great choice if you usually watch sports with a group of friends. Finally, gamers with appreciate the very low input lag, which makes it very responsive.
Smart features
How smart is the TV set? Most TVs, nowadays come with smart features meaning they connect to your router and the internet. Is your TV AI-enabled? LG Electronics have they’re equipped with what they call ThinQ.
Smart TVs not only can you access TV programming and movies via the TV’s tuner, via cable/satellite box, or Blu-ray/DVD players, but also via the internet and/or local network-connected PCs.
LG AI TVs are the first with the Google Assistant and Alexa, using LG ThinQ AI technology to become the center for your connected home.
Which TV should you then go for during your shopping?
Having given you what you should look out for while shopping for a television, it will be an injustice for me not to suggest to you a perfect set the fits what you might be looking for.
Personally, am obsessed with the LG OLED TV series. Initially, I was a Samsung guy and was among the first to advocate for their QLED TV, but after using LG OLED, there is no way am going back to Samsung.
Why LG OLED?
- The intelligence – LG OLED TVs such as 8K series and others are coming equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in what LG Electronics is calling ThinQ technology. This means your television is smart enough to interact with you to the point of your connecting with other smart devices within your home by use of your voice.
- The picture and sound quality in any of the LG OLED series are just perfect. While watching a movie, there is nothing as fulfilling as catching every bid of the sound in the movie. LG OLED comes with in-built speakers that amplify the sound, and what is more, with a bass. In picture quality, OLED carries the day as I already indicated. The screen is glossy and matte and its black levels are just ‘too deep.’ The display resolution is also perfect.
- The cool black color that blends with any color of your living room is just what you need and there is nowhere else you get this other than LG OLED.
