Tears flowed freely, the loss, pain, and disbelief so evident on the faces of the families and friends of the pupils that died after Precious Talent School in Ngando area Dagorreti South, Nairobi collapsed, during memorial service at Ngong Course.

Leaders or rather politicians did what they knew best as the mourners were too grieved to care, they played the blame card and promised to deliver schools in the Ngando ward that does not have a single school.

Ngando ward is located in Dagoretti South which is in Nairobi County which is the capital city of Kenya, it is fifty-five years since Kenya got independence so it’s true to say the Country is on it menopause stage in life, this is not a history class!

Fifty-five years of independence and yet award in the capital city which has a Member of the County Assembly (MCA) on a full salary and benefits has no public school? Was that the kind of freedom our forefathers fought for?

The trail of who is to blame is long but we all know who is not to blame, the owner of the school, Moses Ndirangu is not to blame at least not when all the authorities responsible failed the residents on Ngando.

Before Moses can be put behind bars, the MCA should lead the way, and then followed by all the leaders in Dagoretti, closely tailing them should be all the people Governor Mike Sonko suspended following the Precious Talent tragedy and finally, Governor Sonko himself.

Keeping Moses Ndirangu behind bars while in his wisdom he tried his best, within his means, to provide a school for the forgotten children of Ngando is spitting in the face of poor Kenyans who are struggling amidst exploitive taxes to give a better future for the generation of this Country.

Moses Ndirangu, the owner of Precious Talent School should be let free, he and such other Kenyans do what is best for our society, that which we elected people we thought to be leaders and they failed us, even with all the resources we provided.

The arrest of Moses Ndirangu cannot put to rest calls to have somebody accountable for the death of the eight learners and the injured eight learners, Kenyans are not seeking to have a sacrificial lamb, they are seeking justice which can only be delivered if the whole chain of leadership is held to account.

Arresting Moses Ndirangu is only fueling the grief of the learners and parents because they know, Moses did not fail them, and the County and National Government failed them and closing down the Precious Talent School are simply pretending the lives of the eight pupils did not matter.
