Human beings are forgetting that we need the earth more than it needs us. There is an upsurge in the emission of toxic chemicals into the atmosphere, making the earth completely inhabitable for humans and animals.

At the end, when the last tree shall fall, the last wild and domesticated animal dead, the last fish eaten or dead and the oxygen out of reach, then humans will realize that money cannot buy them life.

There are countries around the world, such as China, where air pollution is at such high levels that people are forced to walk with oxygen tanks on the backs, as well as face masks.

In 2016, for instance, 1.1 million people died as a result of outdoor pollution in China. A similar number of people died in India due to the same.

129,000 people died in Pakistan due to outdoor air pollution followed by Russia with a total of 126,000 deaths. In Bangladesh, 115,000 people died due to outdoor air pollution.

Outdoor air pollution killed 80,000 Indonesians while Nigeria and Egypt recorded 69,000 and 68,000 deaths respectively.

Ukraine and Brazil lost 54,000 and 52,000 people to outdoor air pollution while Brazil, Japan, Vietnam, and Germany saw 52,000, 47,000, and 38,000 people die due to air pollution.

Most of the countries that have reported the high number of deaths as a result of outdoor pollution are the major contributors to plastic being dumped into oceans around the world.

Here is a list of countries with the highest number of deaths from outdoor pollution according to the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME):

  1. China
  2. India
  3. Pakistan
  4. Russia
  5. Bangladesh
  6. United States of America
  7. Indonesia
  8. Nigeria
  9. Egypt
  10. Ukraine
  11. Brazil
  12. Japan
  13. Vietnam
  14. Germany

A time is coming when the world will regret how it treated the earth. Imagine if the earth treated us the way we are treating it? Mother Nature is already furious. Her fury is mounting and exploding.
