Eliud Kipchoge Among Most Influential Persons Across Online Platforms

The name, Eliud Kipchoge, enjoyed the better part of the weekend as the most trending on social media, leaving him amongst the most influential personalities across online platforms.
Kipchoge blew the internet after he broke the World’s Marathon Record by running for 1 hour 59 minutes and 40 seconds completing a distance of 42 kilometers during the Ineos challenge held in Vienna on Saturday.
During the weekend, Kipchoge’s emoji, which was Safaricom’s temporary M-Pesa logo dubbed Eliud 159, #Eliud159, #Kipchoge159 and #NoHumanIsLimited garnered more than 10 billion impressions on twitter which originated from 198,000 tweets.
Safaricom temporarily rebranded its M-Pesa logo to Eliud 159 to help support the dream of the undoubtedly determined athlete.
The twitter accounts for Eliud Kipchoge, Safaricom Plc, Manchester City, BBC Sport, Rio Ferdinand, IAAF, and several others contributed to the 10 billion impressions during the Ineos challenge.
The Hashtag (#Eliud159) topped the world’s most trending list for more than five hours by the end of Saturday (October 12, 2019).
46 percent of the twitter conversations about the Eliud 159 challenge had positive sentiments, with the negative sentiments contributing to only 3 percent of the total.
Safaricom offered free YouTube bundles to its customers to help support and cheer the Marathon Legend during the Ineos challenge. Over 3 million customers redeemed their bundles.
This is how several devices were used to cheer up Eliud Kipchoge.; 57 percent were iOS devices; 70 percent were android devices while 88 percent of the devices used were desktops & laptops.
Since most people used multiple devices at a go, the number of devices used can add up to 100 percent.
Kipchoge’s achievement has left a great mark in the world’s history, and has inspired many individuals to believe that indeed, “No Human Is Limited”.
