KCSE, KCPE Set to Start as Most Regions in Kenya Experience Floods

It is all systems go for 1,088,986 candidates registered to sit the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) this year, 2019, beginning the 29th of October 2019.

The government through the ministry of education has said it is well prepared despite the heavy rains rocking most parts of the country.

Meanwhile plans to see Overall 699,745 students sit the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education successfully are on track with the national exam set to start on the 4th of November 2019.

Schools across the country have already closed in a move viewed as the government’s way of minimizing loopholes that could lead to cheating during the exam period.

Areas currently experiencing heavy rainfall include Taita Taveta, the Rift Valley region and parts of the Ukambani region.

Rehearsals for pupils set to sit this year’s KCPE are set to take place on Monday 28th, 2019.

For those that love to send success cards, the culture has slowly been overtaken by time and you could send the parents the monies to prepare for secondary school shopping instead as most of those cards will not be handed to the students.

Parents are encouraged to be supportive of their children and avoid pressuring them since this has been known to even lead to suicide when the results are out and they have not performed to their parent’s demanded expectations.

“Let us give our candidates all the support they need and appreciate them. Every candidate will have a chance to proceed to the next level,” the Taita Taveta Deputy Governor Majala Mlagui said.

The printing of the national exams took place in the United Kingdom last week and was completed by early September 2019.

“We are now ready and we want the candidates to concentrate on completion of the syllabus and to avoid doing things that will compromise the examinations,” Knec acting CEO Mercy Karogo told the press.

We wish the very best to 2019’s KCPE, KCSE Candidates and say No Human is Limited.
