Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino, the Embakasi East Member of Parliament is to remain in custody for the next seven days waiting for his case to be mentioned on the 27th of Jan 2020 in the case where he faces attempted murder charges.

Babu who is accused of attempting to murder DJ Evolve by shooting him point blankly on the neck was denied bail after his lawyer Cliff Ombeta failed to convince the court that Babu would not intimidate witnesses.

Police officers confirmed that indeed Babu Owino’s gun was used in the B Club shooting which is located in Kilimani at around 7 am in the morning.

In a video circulating on social media, Babu is seen smoking what seems to be the illegal Shisha in the company of men believed to be consuming alcohol at hours when the drinks are not to served in Kenya not to forget, B Club was suspended and was supposed to be closed!

The video shows someone believed to be Babu holding a gun and unprovocative shooting at an unseen subject but in a few minutes, the legislature is seen dragging a body with the help of a gentleman yet to be identified.

The Kenya DJ Fraternity has warned Babu Owino from shifting blame over the B-Club shooting demanding justice for their colleague, DJ Evolve.

Kenyans have come out to largely condemn the incident as DJ Evolve continues to recuperate in Nairobi Hospital’s ICU.
