Kenya Re Emerges Top Gainer at The NSE on Monday with a 6.89% Gain

Kenya Re-Insurance was the top gainer of the day at the NSE on Monday, with the company recording a 6.89 percent improvement on its price.

Kenya Re closed the day with its stocks selling at 3.26 shillings per share on Monday from 3.05 shillings on Friday.

The insurance company traded a total of 81,400 stocks on Monday and had a turnover of 265,406 shillings.

Britam Holdings came in second place, after Kenya Re, having recorded a 5.52 percent gain on its price, to sell at 9.94 shillings from Friday’s price of 8.30 shillings per share.

Britam Holdings closed the day after selling 545,200 stocks and recording a turnover of 5.42 million shillings.

Home Afrika was the third top gainer at the NSE on Monday, after it recorded a 5.36 percentage improvement on its price, from 0.56 shillings on Friday to 0.59 shillings on Monday.

The property development company recorded a volume of 6,000 stocks traded and a turnover of 3,543 shillings on Monday.

Stanbic Holdings and Carbacid Investments were the fourth and fifth top gainers at the NSE respectively.

Stanbic Holdings closed the day at selling at 108 shillings per share on Monday, from 103.75 shillings on Friday, recording a 4.10 percent increment.

Carbacid Investments gained 0.97 percent on its price after closing Monday with its shares selling at 8.30 shillings from 8.22 shillings on Friday.
