Hero Or Villain? KQ Suspends Employee That Filmed Arrival Of Chinese Plane

An employee at the Kenya Airways (KQ) reported having filmed the arrival of the China Southern Airline Plane at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport has reportedly been suspended by the employer.

The employee,’Gire Ali’ has been suspended from his duties by the Kenya Airways that deems him as a traitor despite Kenyans across the country applauding him for creating awareness.

“Following a report of a video recording of China SouthernAirline at the JKIA and circulation of the video clip widely on social media on the 26th of February 2020, and your alleged involvement in the matter,” the letter with the Kenya Airways logo reads.

“It has been decided that you be suspended from duty with immediate effect as from the 27th of February 2020 in accordance with the provision of clause 16.5 of the company HR Policy manual,” the letter said to be firing the KQ employee reads.

The letter suspending the KQ employee reported having filmed the landing of the China Southern Airline plane known to have been carrying 239 passengers requires Mr.Gire Ali to avail himself to investigating authorities during his suspension.

Mr.Ali Gire suspected of having been behind the viral video of the China Southern Airline plane landing that has sparked fear and hefty criticism from Kenyans in all quarters has the Jubilee Government gangling on a tight rope as Kenyans lose trust in the Government.

Mr.Ali Gire, according to the suspension letter will continue to receive his full salary during the suspension period as Kenyans begin to panic on whether the country could already have reported a case but is playing dumb.

Concern and fear of the Chinese Coronavirus and the Government’s indecision has left most people worried and scared for their lives, a fact that is slowly building resentment between Kenyans and Chinese going by online posts.

The letter suspending Mr.Ali Gire from Kenya Airways for having filmed the landing of the China Southern Airline Plane from the heavy coronavirus hit country has been signed by Everlyne Munyoki, the Chief Human Resource officer.

The letter has also been signed by Mr.Ali Gire who acknowledges receipt on the 27th of February 2020.
