Ugandan Musician Pallaso Attacked, Badly Injured by Xenophobic Gangs In South Africa

Uganda’s Pius Mayanja famously known as Pallaso has been in critical condition after having been attacked by xenophobic gangs on Wednesday night, 19th, 2020 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Pallaso a brother to Famous musician Joseph Mayanja stage name Jose Chameleon and GoodLyfe’s Weseal, narrates on how he had to hide for his life in a garage of a local school for hours before being rescued by good Samaritans.
Pallaso while in a live Facebook video cried to his fans, friends and relatives like “I am hiding at a certain old school garage which name I am not aware of but all I can say is that it’s located in some place called Turfontain, the place is smelly and so dirty, please come to my rescue.”
“Xenophobia is real my fellow Ugandans, these men have kicked me, beaten me and cut me severally with knives and pangas yet I hadn’t offended them in any way” Pallaso added
At around 10:30 (EAT) on Wednesday, the Radio and Weseal music group announced on its social media pages that Pallaso had received help.
“Thank you for your prayers, our Goodlyfe Ambassador has located him, but pray for him, he is still in a bad state. #PrayForPallaso” the post read.
Ugandans were anxiously waiting for him to narrate the whole story therefore, with teary eyes and a shaky voice, Team Good Music singer Pallaso narrated his near-death experience after being attacked, beaten and stabbed.
“My friend Kiwunya Fred got me from the hotel and decided to take me to some place called Turfontain where he had called another friend of his to join us, however, we bumped into gangs carrying stones, sticks and machetes.” Pallaso narrated.
The singer claims that he kept asking his friend what the gangs were up to but all his friend could say was that the mobs were on their own business, no sooner had Pallaso’s friend finished the statement than the mobs pointed at them and started running in their direction.
Pallaso says his friend decided to remain in the car but he (Pallaso) decided to get out and run for his life because the gangs had hit all the mirrors of the car and next was hitting them.
The Team Good Music singer claims that he tried to run as fast as he could but to make the situation even worse, during the run for his life, he was hit by a speeding car and he fell on its bonnet. He tried to enter into this same car but the driver was too terrified and drove off.
He managed to gather himself together and ran into a nearby old school garage where he managed to make a live video on Facebook which notified every Ugandan about his situation.
In this video, the singer was crying and begging everybody aware to help him get rescued, he kept lamenting about how he loved his kid, mom and everything he has worked for.
On Thursday, 20th, 2020 Pallaso’s management issued a statement, affirming that the singer is now safe but in critical condition.
At the moment, the singer has gotten better but he claims he is not sure whether his friend Kiwunya is still alive because he left him in the car immediately he was attacked.
