All Bars In Kenya Closed Until Further Notice

The government of Kenya has ordered the closure of all bars around the country starting Sunday March 22, 2020 midnight to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.

“Starting midnight, all bars are hereby closed until further notice. Those found violating this directive will be punished,” said the Cabinet Secretary for Health Mr. Mutahi Kagwe.

The Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Interior Mr. Karanja Kibicho has directed the police to arrest all those businessess that will be operating bars starring today midnight.

“Police officers who will not enforce this law will be punished,” said Mr. Kibicho.

The Inspector General of Police, on the other hand, directed the adminstration police across the country the ensure that all bars are closed starting midnight.

“Those who will not cooperate will face the full force of the law,” said the IG.

Kenya now has 15 confirmed cases of Coronavirus after 8 more cases were confirmed on Sunday March 22, 2020. More other cases are being monitored.
