Celebrity Tom Hanks And Wife Test Positive For Coronavirus

Oscar-winning celebrity and actor Tom Hanks and his wife, actress Rita Wilson have confirmed that they have tested positive for coronavirus.

The Australian celebrity couple confirmed the sad news of them testing positive for coronavirus on their official twitter handles.

Tom Hanks and his wife, both 63 years of age, said he and his wife began to experience fatigue, achy and slight fevers while working on a film pushing them to get tested.

“To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus and were found to be positive,” Tom Hanks wrote in a tweet.

Tom Hanks and his wife will hence be observed and quarantined as long as required as is the procedure.

The actor and his wife, Rita Wilson are the first celebrities to test positive for coronavirus in the United States (US) with already over 1000 confirmed infections of the deadly virus.

“Not much more to it than a one day at a time approach, no? We’ll keep the world updated,” hanks tweeted.

Warner Bros. Production which is producing the upcoming movie that had Tom and his wife travel to Australia posted confirming that one of their ‘member’ had tested positive for coronavirus.

Warner Bros., however, did not reveal the identity of who had contracted the virus leaving Tom Hanks the decision on whether or not to go public.

Tom Hanks has featured in award-winning films such as ‘Philadelphia’, ‘Forest Gump’, ‘Runaway Bride’ and ‘Sleepless in Seattle’.

Coronavirus has so far been confirmed in 118 countries around the Globe with more than 121,000 confirmed infections.

Coronavirus has killed over 4,300 people with 37 of those being in the United States and the other majority in China, Iran and South Korea.
