China, which has in recent days found itself segregated after suffering an outbreak of deadly coronavirus commonly referred to as COVID-9, is on its path to recovery.

“We must stay cautious, not be blindly optimistic and must not have war-weariness,” the secretary-general of the Communist Party Official, Chen Yixin, urged.

Chen Yixin urged that vigilance should be continued against the epidemic and the requirements set to prevent and control the epidemic continued to ensure there is no recurrence.

China reported 40 new confirmed cases of coronavirus infections on Sunday according to the National Health which is less by 4 cases a day as earlier the Asian country was reporting 44 cases a day.

The Sunday’s report of new cases was the lowest ever recorded in China which builds up hopes of a future that will be Coronavirus free.

Out of the 40 cases of new coronavirus infections reported on Sunday, 36 were from Wuhan where the virus originally began while the other four new cases were reported in Gansu province.

The four new cases reported in Gansu were imported from Iran raising the total number of imported coronavirus cases to 67.

The 40 confirmed new coronavirus infections have brought up the number of reported infections in mainland China to 80,735 in total.

Factories, public spaces, and social amenities are showing signs of resuming operations with a number of them already back and practising extreme caution.

In the Philippines, Manila, schools and universities have been shut down for a week following the confirmation of four new cases of the coronavirus.

Kenya Remains On High Alert In The Event Of A Coronavirus Case In The Country

Scientists have recommended that Kenya should be on high alert over the outbreak of coronavirus that has so far killed more than 3100 people in the World.

Prof. Omu Anzala from KAVI-Institute of Clinical Research KAVI-ICR University of Nairobi noted that the spillover of the virus could emerge from anywhere and Kenya needs to be alert throughout.

“Let us not imagine that the virus is far away from us, it could emerge from any point in this country, therefore there is a need to be highly alert,” Prof. Anzala said.
