Government Bans Learning In All Public Institutions

The government of Kenya has banned learning in all public institutions to reduce on the spread of Coronavirus.

According to President Uhuru Kenyatta, all day scholars will not go to school starting Monday March 16, 2020 for an indefinite period of time.

All students in boarding schools will not be allowed to go home starting Tuesday March 18, 2020 and will remain at home for an indefinite period of time.

All government colleges have also been closed indefinitely and the Government says dates for resumption of learning will be communicated as the government continues to monitor the situation.

There have been calls on the Ministry of Education to close all schools and allow students to go back home as the virus continues to spread.

So far, Kenya has 3 confirmed cases. President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned businessmen against creating artificial shortages in order to raise prices.
