Absa Bank Kenya Sends A Touching Letter To Their Customers

Dear Customers,

We know that you are scared. We know that you are afraid of what the future holds. But we are here to assure you that this too shall pass. We are here for you.

As you an SME supplier with us? Are you afraid that your payment might take a long to hit the bank? It is time for you to relax and focus on other matters because we have changed how we are going to pay our suppliers.

In order to help you meet your financial obligations during this Covid-19 period, we have endeavored to pay all suppliers invoiced within 14 days.

Additionally, we are working towards paying all invoices of 1 million shillings and below within 7 days. This should go a long way in helping you as our esteemed customer and supplier to sustain your business and cashflow.

To help those who have taken loans with us, because we know and understand how difficult the current situation is, we decided to restructure our loans.

So far, in the past two weeks, we have restructured our loans of more than 8.3 billion shillings. This is part of our bigger relief program to help our customers cope with the biting Covid-19.

In order for you to enjoy our cashless transaction channels, we are giving 0.3 percent cash back every time you shop with your debit card. The cash is remitted to your current account every end of the month.

We have given an offer to all our customers an initial loan repayment relief of up to three months for personal loans, business loans, Mortgages, Asset Finance and Credit Cards.

As you may be aware, we waived all transaction fees on money transfers between mobile wallets and bank account to June 30, 2020. Additionally, you can now deposit up to 150,000 shillings per transaction through our Paybill number 303030 at no cost.

Through our Timiza product, we waived all the transaction fees from the bank on money between M-Pesa and Timiza. Additionally, you can deposit up to 150,000 shillings daily through our Timiza Paybill number 300067.
