Burundians Continue To Lead Normal Lives Saying That God Loves Them

As countries are struggling to put up measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus, Burundi is on a different level, life in the East African Country is as normal as it was before the pandemic.
If you ask why life in Burundi is normal, the response will be “God Loves Burundi that’s why there are few cases of Covid-19 with no single death reported.
Burundi, a landlocked country in the East African region, has a population of 11 million people. The Godly nation is among those countries that have reported ‘few’ cases of the deadly Covid-19 but their case is different as they are not worried at all.
Despite neighboring countries warning their citizens against traveling to Burundi as it is considered a high-risk area, the country has only reported three cases of Covid-19 cases.
Some patients reported positive in Neighboring countries had traveled from Burundi, meaning that if they could have stayed in the country, the cases could have been more.
The low number has given the country so much confidence that life is as normal and as smooth as usual. Political Campaigns, religious events, schools, markets, hotels, restaurants, and bars are running smoothly.
Sporting events in almost all countries have been canceled, but Burundi’s second division is running as normal and even having massive attendants.
This is the same country that was asked a while ago why they had not reported any Covid-19 cases and they responded that they had no testing kits.
Currently, the Burundian government has said 675 people have been quarantined but told citizens to continue living their normal lives.
Making the matters worse is the ongoing political campaign that involves General Evariste Ndayishimiye and his close rival Agathon Rwasa of the CNL party who are vying for the presidential seat.
The Chaps are advising their followers to attend their political rallies in numbers and preaching about zero worries since there is a deity protecting them against Coronavirus.
The UN and other diplomats had expressed their concerns about Burundi having the capacity to combat the virus but the country is not shaken at all, instead, they are worried about other things.
Diplomats advised Africans to learn from other nations like China, the US, and Italy which took things for granted but are now facing the worst.
According to Cuthbert Ncube, the African Tourism Board Chair, Burundi should continue believing in God but also consider the risks they are exposing their citizens and other countries.
“God loves Burundi. God wants Burundi to join the rest of Africa, and the rest of the world to take immediate precautions, “Ncube advised. “Burundi must respect the danger this virus presents not only for Burundi, for its neighbors, but all of Africa.”
“This is a very connected world and this deadly enemy doesn’t respect the borders of Burundi or any country. For the sake of all people in Africa, we urge Burundi to not put us all in great deadly danger. Africa wouldn’t have the recourses to fight such an epidemic once it explodes. This must be avoided by any cost. Let Africa be a shining example for mankind. God also loves Africa.”
