China has once again raised suspicion after she refused investigations into the origin of the deadly Coronavirus that continues to threaten the existence of the human race.

According to reports, at least 123 countries who are members of the European Union, backed up the proposal raised by Australia that wanted investigations on what caused Covid-19 and why it was not contained in time.

Australia presented the proposal to the UN’s World Health Assembly which recommended that at least 194 member countries globally (two thirds) should express their support for the inquiry of Coronavirus pandemic.

Australian officials said they believe that they can dig deep into the matter and scrutinize China, where the first Covid-19 case was reported in Wuhan City. China was also accused of giving false information about the disease.

“The text resolution calls for an impartial, independent, and comprehensive evaluation of the international health response to Covid-19,” read the proposal.

The proposal also wants an evaluation of the World Health Organisation and how the agency acted when the first case was reported in China.WHO was also accused of being soft on China and accepting misinformation as the disease took a course.

“The EU said the investigation should be initiated at the earliest appropriate moment, and should also examine the actions of the World Health Organisation and their timeliness pertaining to the Covid-19 pandemic.”

The Australian proposal, however, did not mention China, but the weight of the words used indicate that the Asian country is the one being targeted.

China is however adamant about the probe stating that investigations should only be done after the virus is completely contained. China President Xi Jinping said his government has been transparent about the virus.

So far, there are 4,894,278 people infected with Coronavirus with 320,189 deaths globally.1, 909,233 people have also recovered according to data from Worldometer.
