Here Is A List Free Covid-19 Testing Centers In Nairobi

The Nairobi Metropolitan Service recently launched free Covid-19 testing that will be conducted in all 17 Sub counties in the City.

The free mass-testing program is expected to run for 11 days and has already started in some estates in Nairobi including Kamukunji, Dagoretti, and Embakasi East. The ongoing exercise is being conducted in schools and open grounds.

On Saturday, May 23, 2020, the testing exercise will be in Embakasi central and Embakasi West where the team will pitch tents at schools and open grounds in Kayole and Umoja.

On Sunday, the team will head to Starehe Sub-county, targeting residents of Mukuru Kayaba, Huruma, and Mathare areas.

The free mass testing exercise will then continue next week from May 25, where the health officers will visit Westlands and pitch camp at Kangemi, HighRigde primary, and Kihumbuini Grounds.

On May 26, the doctors will be in Lang’ata and Kibra at Udungu and Kamukunji grounds respectively. The team will head to Kasarani and Githurai on May, 27 where they will conduct the tests at Murema Primary in Kasarani and Githurai primary for Githurai 44 and 45 residents.

On 28th May 2020 Mathare 1, 2, 3, and Naivas Area will be targeted where the testing Centre will be Kwa DC. A different team will be in Lang’ata Kwa chief on the same day.

The team will then head to Mathare on May, 29 and test residents Huruma, Korogocho, and Kariobangi while a different team will be testing Westlands residents at Chelsea Primary School.

On the second last day, that is 30th May, the testing will be conducted at Heshima Road Primary targeting residents of Makongeni, Jogoo road, Jana Villa, Bahati, and Civil Servants in Makadara sub-county. Another team will be conducting free tests at Muthurwa Primary in Kamukunji Sub-county.

The team will visit Kamukunji’s Maina Wanjigi Secondary School on the final day of the free testing.

Agha Khan Hospital also launched free testing services which will improve Kenya’s testing capacity at a time when the numbers are overwhelming.

Kenya has so far conducted tests on 57,640 samples in total with the total number of positive cases hitting 1,192 with 50 facilities. The numbers are likely to spike as the Health Ministry projects that August and September will be the peak of the infections in the country.
