Murder Most Foul As Kayole Mother Murders Her Two Children

A family in Kayole is in shock and mourning after one of their own, Winfred Nduku, turned against her two children and reportedly murdered them in cold blood on Saturday night.

Ms. Nduku is alleged to have committed the act after an argument ensued between her and her mother, the children’s maternal grandmother over the children sleeping hungry.

Winfred Nduku, 24, is said to have been infuriated after her mother ordered her to cook some dinner for her two children who had slept hungry and upon which she reportedly meted her anger on the two innocent children.

Winfred Nduku who is reported to have returned home at around 7 pm but stayed glued on her phone while her two children were starving prompting her mother to ask why she was not preparing a meal for the children who have since been said to have gone without food the previous night.

The two children reportedly murdered by their mother, Winfred Nduku, in their Kayole home are aged 7 years and 2 years of age had stab wounds.

Winfred Nduku who sells shoes at the Gikomba market is reported to have drifted into a rage and grabbed a knife stabbing one child after the other and the attempted to stab her mother as well but was overpowered and instead stabbed herself in the stomach.

The children’s grandmother, Josephine Wambua, survived the incident but the two children, sadly, were pronounced dead on arrival in a nearby hospital in Kayole.

Josephine Wambua told police officers that her daughter, Winfred Nduku, had been threatening to kill the two children for some time but she had never made anything of the threats.

Winfred Nduku is currently receiving treatment for the self-inflicted stomach stab at the Mama Lucy Hospital in Kayole from where she is expected to face criminal charges for the murder of her two children according to Police commander Philip Ndolo
