Premier League Games Set To Stream On YouTube For Free

Football fans around the world might have something to smile about if the proposal to have premier league games resume amid the ongoing Covid-19 lockdown is actualized.

Football bosses have rejected the proposal to end the season and award winners basing on point. They now want all the 92 remaining games to be played and shown live for fans to take part.

The proposal wants some of the 92 games to be streamed live on YouTube for free to give fans around the world “an opportunity to witness the action.” The proposal also wants all the games to be shown on Sky Sports and BT Sports.

Football chiefs want the current season to be completed in just seven weeks. The matches will be played behind closed doors with no fans to reduced on the spread of Covid-19.

The Premier League season was stopped after the spread of Covid-19 became intense leading to some players and managers to get infected.

The Spread

The spread of Covid-19 has affected the sporting world leading to cancellation of events and loss of billions of dollars in revenues. Countries have also imposed lockdowns as a measure to stop the spread of Covid-19.

Globally, the total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 stands at 3,727,937. The number of those who have succumbed as a result of the pandemic is at 258,344 while the number of recoveries stands at 1,242,432.

The United States of America is still ahead of the rest of the world with the highest number of infections and deaths. So far, 1,237,633 cases have been confirmed with 72,271 deaths.

Open Up America

There have been protests across the United States of people calling on the government to ease on travel and assembly restrictions and open up public places such as beaches for its people.

President Donald Trump has been quoted saying plans are underway to open up and have Americans go back to “their normal lives.”
