4 Dead As Men Continue To Triple In The Number Of COVID-19 Infections

Kenya has today, 13th June 2020, registered 152 new cases of COVID-19 after 3,503 samples were tested in the last 24 hours raising the number of confirmed cases to 3,457 according to Health CAS Rashid Aman.

The newly tested 3,503 samples raise the country’s number of tested samples to a cumulative 112 171 as reported by health CAS Rashid Aman.

The 152 cases are inclusive of 116 are males while 36 are females with the youngest being two years old and the eldest being 65-years of age.  Nairobi and Mombasa counties continue to lead in the number of new cases with 70 and 41 respectively.

The 152 cases reported in the last 24 hours are distributed in the country as follows:

Nairobi – 70

Mombasa- 41

Busia -16

Kiambu -9

Kajiado -4

Machakos- 3

Migori- 3 

Kisumu -2

Taita Taveta -1

Narok -1

Nakuru -1

Uasin Gishu -1

Unfortunately, four more Kenyans have succumbed to COVID-19 infection raising the total number of fatalities to the virus in Kenya to 100 according to Health CAS Rashid Aman.

On a more positive note, 57 more people have been discharged in the last 24 hours after testing negative for COVID-19 with Health CAS Rashid Aman saying the total number of recoveries had risen to 1,221 in total.

Mombasa 41 COVID-19 cases are from Nyali- 14, Mvita- 10, Likoni – 7, Kisauni- 6, Changamwe- 4 while all the 16 cases in Busia are of truck drivers from Malaba POE.
