COVID-19 Cases Hit 3,727 As Congestion In Hospitals Challenge Medics

Kenya has today recorded 133 additional COVID-19 new cases raising the total number to 3,727 according to Health CS Mutahi Kagwe.

The 133 COVID-19 positive cases are out of 3,365 samples tested in the last 24 hours raising the number of samples tested since the first case to a total of 180,701.

Sadly, Kenya has lost one more patient to COVID-19 according to Health CS Mutahi Kagwe with 33 people having been discharged.

CS Mutahi Kagwe who spoke in Nyandarua County has urged Kenyans to stick to a balanced diet and ensure the same for children to boost immunity and ensure a healthy nation.

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has noted that the government is working towards building capacity and that Nairobi County alone needs 3,000 COVID-19 isolation beds, Mombasa 1,000 beds, all counties need at least 300 beds each.

The number of total recoveries in Kenya is now 1,286 while the total number of fatalities is now at 101.
