COVID-19 Deaths Rise To 92 As Positive Cases Hit 3,215

Kenya has today registered 121 new COVID-19 cases raising the country’s total number to 3, 215 according to a statement by Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe.

The 121 COVID-19 cases are out of 3, 291 samples tested in the last 24 hours raising the number of samples tested to 106, 247 in the statement by Health CS Mutahi Kagwe.

In the 121 COVID-19 cases, 92 are males while 29 are females with the youngest being a 4-month-old and the eldest being 86-years of age.

The statement by Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has also revealed that the number of recoveries has risen to 1, 092 after 44 more people have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

According to Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, out of the 121 COVID-19 cases announced today, 115 are Kenyans while 6 are foreigners

On a sad note, Kenya has also lost three more people to the COVID-19 bringing the total number of fatalities to the viral illness to 92 in the country.

The 121 COVID-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours are distributed in the country as follows:

Nairobi – 49

Busia – 37

Mombasa – 20

Kajiado – 5

Migori – 4

Kiambu -2

Kilifi – 2

Muranga -1

Nyeri -1

The 49 Nairobi cases are Kibra -18, Westlands -9, Kamkunji and Ruaraka – 4,  Dagoretti North 3, Embakasi Central, Embakasi West and Langata -2 ,Embakasi South, Kasarani, Roysambu, Starehe and Makadara – 1.
