COVID-19 Update: 4 Dead As Kibra Infections Increase By 12 In 24 Hours

Kenya has recorded an increase in COVID-19 cases after 90 more have tested positive in the last 24 hours according to Health CAS Rashid Aman after 2,419 samples have been tested.

The number of samples that have been tested in Kenya has since increased to 108,666 according to Health CAS Rashid Aman who has noted that blood donation day is approaching and that the Ministry of Health was already working with Facebook to sensitize and urge Kenyans to come out and donate blood.

The number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,164 cases after the newly announced 90 cases even as Kenyans seem to disregard the social distancing measures and recovering from initial panic.

The newly announced 90 COVID-19 cases are all of Kenyans who are aged between 14 years and 80 years for the eldest with 62 males and 28 females according to Health CAS Rashid.

The 90 cases are distributed across the country as follows:

Nairobi – 36

Mombasa – 34

Busia -12

Uasin Gishu – 3

Kilifi -1

Garissa -1

Meru – 1

Turkana -1

Kisumu – 1

The 36 COVID-19 cases announced in Nairobi include 12 cases in Kibra,5 in Makadara, 4 in Kasarani, 3 in Lang’ata, 1 in Westlands and Embakasi while the 34 COVID-19 cases in Mombasa are 14 in Mvita, 8 in Kisauni, 4 in Likoni, Jomvu, and Changamwe.
