Nairobi Hospital Has Been Inflating Hospital Bills – Jubilee

BY Juma · June 22, 2020 08:06 am

Jubilee Insurance now claims that Nairobi Hospital has been inflating hospital bill in order to swindle cash from insurance companies.

In a statement, the insurance provider says trouble between it and the Nairobi Hospital started when the hospital was asked to justify a bill of 80 million shillings.

Last week, Nairobi Hospital dropped Jubilee Insurance from the list of covers at the hospital for a debt of 357 million shillings which dated back to 2018.

According to Jubilee Insurance, “this is as a result of a dispute resulting from the failure by the Hospital to provide justification for some bills adding up to about 80 million shillings compared to an approximate business of Ksh 1 billion per year.”

The insurance says the standing amount will be cleared as soon as the Hospital provides information that justifies the payment.

Meanwhile, Nairobi Hospital insists that Jubilee Insurance will remain suspended from covering patients at the hospital.
