3 Die In Nairobi-Mombasa Accident As Masses Migrate To Rural Areas

Three people have died today’s, 7th July 2020, in a road accident along the Nairobi Mombasa highway near Maanzoni Lodge where several others have been left injured.

The early morning accident involved three vehicles two trucks and a Probox car where the two trucks sandwiched the Probox near Maanzoni Lodge killing three people instantly.

The Machakos County Government Emergency Services Director David Mwongela has confirmed the accident saying it happened after the two trucks collided at an intersection and knocked a Probox off the road.

The three who have died in the accident are drivers of the two trucks and one turn boy while the occupants of the Probox are still trapped in the wreckage where the officials from the County Emergency Services officers are presently struggling to rescue them.

Nairobi residents have this morning woken early to travel out of the county following the reopening of the roads yesterday by President Uhuru’s order after a two-month order of cessation of movement.
