Babu Threatens To Sue Nation Media For Defamatory Dj Evolve Story

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino is demanding an apology from the Nation Media Group in a sad turn of events after the Media House aired a story on Dj Evolve shooting.
Dj Evolve who has been under homecare is now paralyzed from the mid-torsal downwards a revelation that was made on the Ntv interview and cannot feed himself raising Kenyans anger which has since resulted to Kenyans calling for the Babu Owino-Dj Evolve case to be expeditated.
Babu Owino, through the Okatch and Partners Advocates, has written to the General Manager, Nation Media Group Limited terming the Dj Evolve story defamatory and ill-founded.

Okatch advocates who are acting on Babu Owino’s orders have noted that the Dj Evolve story aired on Ntv is conclusive that the Embakasi East Member of Parliament shot Dj Evolve yet the MP already took a plea.
Babu Owino through his advocates, the Okatch, demands that the Nation Media Group publishes withdrawals of the averments on the newspaper and the page where the offensive words appeared.
Babu Owino goes further to demand that the Nation Media Group runs an appropriate apology on the prime time news on Ntv which should be accompanied by a written apology to him for the ‘defaming’ story on Dj Evolve.
Babu Owino further demands that the Nation Media Group admits liability for the slanderous libelous statements following which Babu and his lawyers shall proceed to address the media house on damages.
The Embakasi East MP through his lawyers has given the Nation Media Group a mere two days to render the apology and proceed to discuss damages incurred for defaming Babu Owino failure to which the lawyers will institute legal proceedings against the media house.

The Letter by Babu Owino’s alleged lawyers has noted that it was not the first time the media house was running a story against the MP noting that their threats this time round would be implemented.
All this is happening as the office of the DPP noted that the Dj Evolve case had been slowed by the fact that the Dj was not in a position to record a statement angering Kenyans who question on why Evolve was not in a position in the first place and would justice be forfeited if the Dj had never been responsive ever.
Hon. Martha Karua chipped into the discussion noting that Dj Evolve was now in a position to record a statement with a bit of assistance and so time should no longer be wasted on the matter.
Commenting on the matter on why the Dj Evolve- Babu Owino case has dragged on for so long, DPP Nordin Haji noted that there had been a number of hiccups and that they were guided by the judiciary but Kenyans, especially the constituents of Embakasi East had the option of removing him from office.

Babu Owino is out of remand after having been granted a bail of 10 million shillings which was to be paid in installments, something that had never been heard of in Kenya before.
