Standard Group Kicks Off The Week As Top Gainer At The NSE

The top gainer of the day on Monday at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) was Standard Group with 9.79 percent at the price of 24.10 shillings per share.

Kenya Re-Insurance was the second top gainer of the day with 9.00 percent at the price of 2.18 shillings per share followed by Uchumi Supermarket with 5.71 percent at the price of 0.37 shillings per share.

Trans-Century gained 5.70 percent at the price of 2.04 shillings per share while Flame Tree Group closed the top 5 gainers’ table with 4.96 percent at the price of 1.48 shillings per share.

Unga Group was the top loser of the day. The company lost 6.03 percent at the price of 28.05 shillings per share followed by Sanlam Kenya who shed off 4.44 percent at the price of 12.90 shillings per share.

Nation Media Group was the third top loser on Monday with 3.32 percent at the price of 13.10 shillings per share. ABSA Bank Kenya lost 3.16 percent at the price of 9.20 shillings per share.

Nairobi Securities Exchange closed the top 5 loser’s table with a loss of 2.96 percent at the price of 7.20 shillings per share.

The top mover of the day on Monday was Equity Group who moved 5.26 million shares with a market capitalization of 124.72 billion shillings.

Safaricom PLC moved from the top to the second top mover of the day with 4.80 million shares and a market capitalization of 1.10 trillion shillings. KCB Group moved 3.16 million shares with a market capitalization of 109.41 billion shillings.

ABSA Bank Kenya, despite being among the top losers of the day moved 2.11 million shares with a market capitalization of 49.97 billion shillings.

Kenya Electricity Generating Company closed the top 5 movers of the day with 713,900 shares with a market capitalization of 35.21 billion shillings.
