Here Are The Top 5 Gainers, Losers And Movers On Thursday

The top five gainers of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday were I & M Holdings, Barclays NewGold ETF, East African Breweries Limited, Britam Holdings, and Total Kenya.

I & M Holdings gained 3.89 percent at the price of 46.75 shillings per share followed by Barclays NewGold ETF with a gain of 2.77 percent at the price of 2,040.00 shillings per share.

The East African Breweries Limited gained 1.97 percent at the price of 155.00 shillings per share followed by Britam Holdings with 1.69 percent at the price of 7.22 shillings per share.

Total Kenya closed the top five gainers’ table with 1.32 percent at the price of 23.00 shillings per share.

The top 5 losers of the day during the sessions on Wednesday were Bamburi Cement, Trans-Century, Nairobi Business Ventures, Diamond Trust Bank, and HF Group.

Bamburi Cement carried the day in losing with 8.75 percent at the price of 25.55 shillings per share followed by Trans-Century who shed off 8.49 percent at the price of 1.94 shillings per share.

Nairobi Business Ventures and Diamond Trust Bank lost 7.69 and 6.16 percent respectively at the price of 0.60 and 64.75 shillings per share respectively.

HF Group closed the losing table with 5.93 percent at the price of 3.65 shillings per share.

The five top movers on Wednesday were Safaricom PLC, Kenya Power and Lighting Company, CIC Insurance Group, Kenya Re-Insurance, and the Co-operative Bank of Kenya.

Safaricom PLC sold 22.65 million shares with a market capitalization of 1.05 trillion shillings followed by Kenya Power and Lighting Company who moved 5.15 million shares with a market capitalization of 3.73 billion shillings.

CIC Insurance Group moved 5.03 million shares with a market capitalization of 5.75 billion shillings while Kenya Re-Insurance moved 1.64 million shares with a market capitalization of 6.16 billion shillings.

The Co-operative Bank of Kenya sold 1.23 million shares with a market capitalization of 60.43 billion shillings.
