List Of Countries To Fly To Kenya Increased To 130

BY Juma · August 20, 2020 07:08 am

Kenya has increased the number of countries that are supposed to fly to Kenya to 130 even as Covid-19 continues to sweep across the world.

With the announcement, it means now citizens from the 130 countries landing in Kenya will be exempted from quarantine.

Since the opening of the Kenyan airspace, most countries resumed flights to Kenya with such airlines as Emirates starting daily flights throughout the week.

The top in the list is Afghanistan, Albania, Angola, and Anguilla. Others are Maldives, Malaysia, Mauritius, and Morocco.

Kenya decided to exempt tourists and businessmen from the 14-quarantine as they land in Kenya to “encourage the recovery of businesses and the economy.

Citizens from the United States of America will be allowed to visit Kenya without being quarantined except those from the states of California, Florida, and Texas.

Tanzania

Although Kenya has included Tanzania on the new list, Tanzania has remained mute about the resumption of Kenya Airways flights to Tanzania.

Tanzania banned Kenya Airways from flying to Tanzania after Kenya excluded it from the list of countries of citizens to fly to Kenya.

The relationship between Kenya and Tanzania has been sore after a delegation of Kenyan officials who had gone to the funeral of President Benjamin Mkapa was turned mid-air.

Kenyans Relaxing

As Covid-19 continues to rise across the country, Kenyans seem to have started “living the normal” by being relaxed and going against the requirements by the Ministry of Health.

According to the Ministry of Health, all the 47 counties in Kenya have reported Covid-19 cases and cautioned Kenyans against going against the Covid-19 set rules.

“The virus is now with us. We are witnessing so many cases of community transmission of the virus. With this, contact tracing becomes so difficult. It is now up to Kenyans to do the right thing,” said Dr. Mercy Mwangangi.
