Retired Chief Justice Evans Gicheru Is Dead

Retired Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya Evans Gicheru is dead according to an announcement made by outgoing Chief Justice David Maraga.

Justice Mucheru was the Chief Justice of Kenya from 1988 to 2011 and Maraga has hailed him as a man who knew his ways down the corridors of Justice.

David Maraga says Gicheru will be remembered for ending the tradition of the Judiciary taking instructions from the Executive.
