There Is Need To Urgently Tackle The Rise In Viral Infections

Viral infections continue to rise with the increasing global population. The rise in infections is sending scientists back on the drawing board as they try to find urgent remedies for the same.
Sadly, the majority of these infections are continuously becoming resistant to available remedies. There is a need to look for alternative treatment methods fast.
In viral infections, patients experience a multitude of symptoms such as fever, coughs, and shortness of breath. In more severe cases of infections, patients may experience pulmonary fibrosis and major organ failure that can lead to fatalities.
Determining the best course for prevention is of primary importance since illnesses may result in long-term sequelae, and incur costs pertaining not only to treatment but time lost from school and work.
Traditional Chinese Medicines have been hailed, since time immemorial of being able and capable of treating a raft of viral illnesses.
According to experts in the traditional medical field, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) refers to a broad range of therapeutic practices. These include alternative treatments such as herbal medicine, acupuncture, exercise, and dietary therapy.
In ancient China, combinations of medicinal herbs were prescribed and their effects were documented and passed through doctors to expand on shared knowledge.
In modern times, the scientific approach has been used to study the effectiveness of TCM herbs to isolate active compounds known to have therapeutic uses.
In Kenya, herbal medicines have been in use since immemorial. Despite the failure to largely recognize their official use as a result of regulations, herbal medicine is still an anchor to run to for most Kenyans.
First Herbal Immune Booster

Jiangyin Tianjiang Pharmaceutical Company Limited launched herbal medicines in Kenya to boost immunity, treat and manage viral pneumonia at the time the country is trying to beat the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Operating under a local agent, XRP Medical Kenya Limited, the company has introduced Healthouself Formular 3 and Healthouself Formula 5 – combinations of herbal medicines that will be used to prevent and strengthen immunity and treatment for types of severe acute respiratory infections.
Following the use of cGMP standards, these active compounds are synthesized into Modern TCM-derived herbal medicines like Healthouself Formular 3 and Healthouself Formular 5 that are now in Kenya.
The Healthouself Formular 3 has been approved and certified by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board and was originally from an ancient prescription more than 700 years ago which is called “Yupingfeng San”. It helps strengthen the immune system for better responses against bacterial, fungal, and viral infections.
This prescription includes active ingredients verified for having a very powerful role in strengthening immunity and has been used by health workers and medical personnel to prevent nosocomial infections.
Healthouself Formular 5 has also been approved and certified by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board. The active ingredients of Healthouself Formular 5 have been proven to have antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory benefits, particularly in the respiratory tract.
Recent studies in China demonstrate that its use alone was sufficient to reduce fever symptoms and viral loads for patients at their early stages of viral pneumonia. For patients with severe conditions, the use of Healthouself formula 5 in addition to conventional therapy had complimentary effects of reducing patient recovery time.
