2020 was such a surreal year for if not all, most of us. The year we chose to feel and be present. The year we chose to be vulnerable and let go of lots of things that held us down to the ground.

It was a time of discovery and exploration for most of us, we still are on that path even in this New Year. It was a time to question everything and anything we were aware of. A great deal to set boundaries for ourselves as well. Most of us had to confront our demons and iron them out with them in solitude, away from family and friends.

Some of us decided to face most of our childhood trauma and let go of some of them, it is a process… hopefully a beautiful one. We also might have learned to forgive ourselves and journaled new ways of addressing ourselves going on forward, not only with love and kindness but also with rationale and sanity. This was the year we also chose not to shrink ourselves and accomplishments whether great or small and be vocal about our truths as we strive to be mindful of others.

A great deal of us now know it is okay to show emotion, it is okay to say NO and most importantly it is okay to ask for help. It is all our hope and intention that everything we touch and anyone we interact with flourishes and passes it on to someone else. As we continue to stay content with NOW, we are also not to get comfortable in that contentment but break out to live our full potential. Let it be in you to find the good in others and believe that they have good intentions.

This was the year most of us discovered our talents and what we were actually passionate about. It was lovely to watch all the social media posts of people learning how to code, cook, play an instrument, make art, teaching others how to budget and cope during the pandemic. We also witnessed many people take part in charities, donating to noble causes. This was the year unity and brotherhood prevailed.

As we continue to hold on to the faith that with the given time, all this will work in our favor. This could possibly be the year we found ourselves in places we never thought to look.
