5 Simple Rules To Live By For A Prosperous Life

KEY POINTS
Don't compare your life to others. There's no comparison between the sun and the moon. They shine when it's their time. The only person you should try to compare is the person you were yesterday.
Nobody has it easy in life. We all face difficult times. Of course, the life of some people is heavier than that of others, but it is a common thing that everyone, at some point, experiences loss, pain, disappointment, misfortune, heartbreaks, and more.
As universal as it is, dealing with such has never been easy. But there are some that brace through it all to make something of themselves, while others simply wallow in self-pity.
But as one Robert Kennedy once said, “All of us might wish at times that we lived in a more tranquil world, but we don’t. And if our times are difficult and perplexing, so are they challenging and filled with opportunity.”
In a nutshell, what he meant was, even when circumstances are grim, you must dust yourself up and conquer your mean life. Because at the end of it all, you cannot escape adversity, however hard you try. Sooner or later, you know you must deal with your sorry situation if life must go on. And to help you get through it all, one Twitter user, The Wise Mindset shared some simple rules you should always live by:
1. Let it Go
All that we have is now, and if you choose to let your life go downhill, remember, you have yourself to blame. Do not spend too much time worrying about the past that you forget to live. Therefore, never ruin a good day by thinking about a bad yesterday. The past is a place of learning, not a place of living. In short, accept what is, let go of what was, and have faith in what will be. Letting go opens doors for new things to come in.
2. Ignore them
If you don’t believe in yourself, guess what? Nobody else will believe in you. And since not another soul has great plans for you, except you, don’t be weighed down by what other people say. Don’t listen to the crowd. Live a life that’s empowering. Listen to your soul.
3. Don’t compare
Don’t compare your life to others. There’s no comparison between the sun and the moon. They shine when it’s their time. The only person you should try to compare is the person you were yesterday.
4. Stay calm
Stop trying to calm the storm. Calm yourself, the storm will pass. Keep things in perspective by having an open mind. Often, you will find yourself fighting endless battles or fixing problems, but some you have no control over. So, take a deep breath, sit back down, and tell yourself “It’s okay not to have everything figured out. In time, I will get there.” And you will.
5. Be Patient
Learning patience can be a stressful experience, but once conquered, you will find life is easy. Real success is slow, but it will come. However, this only happens if you constantly make efforts to change. Continue your journey in this direction, and you will not be mistaken. After all, Napoleon Hill once said, “Patience, perseverance, and work are three things that make up an absolute combination of success.”
There are a lot of things you can do to make your problems a bit less. But you should always remember that you are not alone. So, stop worrying about things you can’t control, and live your life, one day at a time.
