Government To Buy And Demolish Kahama Hotel

The National Land Commission (NLC) is set to part with billions of shillings in acquiring the hotel among other properties such as a section of the highly contested Grogan area. However, family feuds are likely to be in play during the pay.

The acquisition of the hotel is likely to spark sibling rivalry in the billionaire’s family following a nasty fight in 2019 where his daughters took their brothers to court over property ownership.

According to the sisters, their father’s will appointed their mother – Eunice Mwangi – as sole administrator. Their brothers, however, manipulated the widow and took over the property, locking them out.

NMS has earmarked several bus termini across the city with the latest to be opened being Green Park. The Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) said it will charge a token fee at the Green park terminus. The fee will be charged For accessing various services at the terminus.

It is expected that once the construction of the bus termini are over, congestion within the city will be a thing of the past.
