Umeme and I & M Holdings gained 3.68 and 3.29 percent at the price of 6.20 and 21.95 shillings per share while Stanlib Fahari Income – REIT gained 2.99 percent at the price of 6.20 shillings per share.

The top loser of the day was CIC Insurance Group with 3.72 percent at the price of 2.07 shillings per share followed by Kenya Electricity Generating Company with 3.58 percent at the price of 4.04 shillings per share.

Nairobi Securities Exchange and Eaagads lost 3.26 and 3.18 percent at the price of 8.32 and 10.65 shillings per share respectively. Flame Tree Group lost 2.11 percent at the price of 1.39 shillings per share.

The top mover of the day was Safaricom PLC who sold 4.99 million shares with a market capitalization of 1.67 trillion followed by Co-operative Bank with 2.39 million shares with a market capitalization of 72.17 billion.

Equity Group and KCB Group sold 1.34 million and 510,100 shares respectively with a market capitalization of 166.61 and 136.24 billion shillings respectively. Kenya Power sold 480,500 shares with a market capitalization of 2.65 billion shillings.
