9 Easy Steps to Washing White Sheets and Bed Linen the Right Way

KEY POINTS
Always use Msafi White Washing Powder when it comes to washing whites for outstanding and bright results at all temperatures.
White beddings are a top choice for many people, including hotels. Apart from the easy washing, white sheets and bed linen have a calming effect on your mood leaving you sleeping soundly.
This is why most people are usually left thinking “that’s the best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages” after spending a night on a bed with clean, fresh, and nice smelling sheets. And while you can replicate such comfort of luxury bed line in your own bedroom, you can only get that much-desired quality sleep if the beddings are absolutely clean!

Because you deserve ultimate comfort in fresh white sheets and linen, here are simple steps to follow while cleaning them:
- Most white beddings can be cleaned at home, by hand, or with a machine, but others come with cleaning instructions. Therefore, as a first step, check the beddings care symbols.
- Next, fill your basin or sink with a bucket of warm water and half a scoop of Msafi White Washing Powder. Mix the solution thoroughly.
- Soak the white beddings for one hour. If the sheets keep floating to the top, use another clean white cloth, or clean hands to keep it immersed.
- After it has soaked, gently wring out the excess water solution before adding it to your regular wash. This way, the stains will break off before they have a chance to set.
- If you are washing with a machine, use the hottest water setting. Polyester can be washed with warm water and cotton can tolerate hot water. Hot water kills most germs and eliminates germs and dust mites that may grow in your beddings. You can also use Msafi Bleach for this option. It is a multipurpose cleaner that protects against germs, whitens whites, disinfects the home, and brightens laundry.
- Wash the white beddings at least once every week. This is because sometimes most people spend more time in bed than they do in their clothing.
- While washing, remember to separate sheets by color. That is if you are washing other colors as well. Dark colors or red ones can dull your white sheets.
- Dry the sheets outside. Sunshine also helps brighten the whites. However, if the weather does not allow it, you can tumble dry the white beddings using a fabric softener. BIDCO Africa has a good choice of fabric softener and conditioner with a lasting fragrance that will always leave your bed smelling fresh and sweet.
- Finally, iron your bed linen to keep them straight, and for storage.
