The minister has rubbed off the worries that parents had especially since the schools will only close for a week. As per the new school calendar, the schools closed on 16th July 2021 and are expected to officially resume for first term learning on the 26th  July 2021.

Magoha further added that any parent who had arrears should talk to their school heads to request more time to clear them.

“if you are a parent and have you have fee problems, go to the headteacher and explain so that we have a payment plan for the food that the child is going to eat in that school,” he said.

Magoha has, however, warned the parents against having the wrong priorities rather than their children’s welfare.  He said that parents can, should pay school charges on time to enable the school to run its exercises smoothly and enable the students to settle on their education.

“Parents must also be responsible and not go out to drink instead of paying fees for their children,” he said.

Magoha further warned adults who are always preying and impregnating school girls that they will face the full force of law if they continue engaging in this dirty and dangerous vice.

“Parents should work with teachers and the administration officials to ensure those pests preying on school girls and ruining their future are arrested and charged in court,” the CS said.
