Back To School Hygiene Tips for Parents
To ensure safety for your family during the school season, try these hygiene tips:
- Every time your kids get back home from school, have them place their uniforms in the laundry basket. This negates the possibility of spreading germs and other unhealthy substances. If you can, try to wash their school uniform daily.
- Under normal conditions, you can simply wash your kids’ school uniforms using a high-quality detergent such as Msafi White Washing Powder. Alternatively, you may want to use Msafi Antibacterial Bar Soap. It lathers on all types of water, kills viruses, germs, and other disease-causing microorganisms even on quick washes. The soap can be used alongside Msafi White Washing Powder, Msafi Dazzling Bright, or Msafi Lavender Fresh.
- Different clothes have different care instructions. Follow them and ensure that you use the right dosage of your favorite detergent to get the best results.
- When extra hygiene, as well as squeaky clean results, are required, you can use Msafi Bleach, which is multi-purpose bleach that removes stains and germs, whitens, disinfects your home, and brightens laundry. It kills common viruses, bacteria, and fungi making it a great addition to these kinds of washes.
For heavily soiled items or school clothes worn by someone who has shown symptoms of illness, separate them and wash them differently from other loads to minimize the risk of contamination.
- After successful cleaning, remove your clothes from the machine or the basin/sink and air dry them thoroughly. This will prevent bacteria from growing and causing the clothes to smell.
- Don’t forget to wash your hands with an antibacterial bar soap and running water after handling dirty clothes for at least 20 seconds.
- Remember, make it a habit to clean your laundry basket. Consider using antibacterial products to disinfect laundry baskets or containers you use to store clothes from someone who has been ill.
So, there you go. Simple hygiene tips for the school season. Follow them and your children’s garments will stay as healthily clean as possible.
That said, always use Msafi White Washing Powder when it comes to washing whites for outstanding and bright results at all temperatures.
