Football Fixtures on DStv This Week to Keep You Updated as Clubs Chase Title Aspirations

KEY POINTS
The Premier League this week could well be one of the best in recent years and the return of fans to stadiums is bound to add to another element of the matches.
There is never a shortage of football to watch every day, and this week, DStv has a great lineup of matches including Premier League, Champions League, La Liga, and Serie A.
The Premier League this week could well be one of the best in recent years and the return of fans to stadiums is bound to add to another element of the matches.
Defending champions, Manchester City, the previous winners Liverpool, the European champs, Chelsea; and a resurgent Manchester United are having title aspirations this week.
Arsenal and Leicester are also hoping for a place in the European mix, while Brentford and Watford have survival in mind after winning promotion.
With some high-profile transfers this season such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Romelu Lukaku, and Jack Grealish featuring in this week’s matches this could be a memorable year for what many believe is the best league in the world.
The Premier League will be headlined by Liverpool as they continue to challenge away at Watford on October 16, Saturday’s early kick-off in the Premier League. Watford claimed a 3-0 victory the last time these two sides met but home hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for the Hornets of late, so a point would be a decent result for Watford this weekend.
Meanwhile, the game against Leicester on Saturday (16 October) sets Manchester United on a tricky run of fixtures after the current international break. It will be one of the several challenging games.

Another key clash sees Manchester City and Burnley go head-to-head on October 16 in a match that’s sure to be enthralling football purists and lovers of the technical and tactical elements of the game. Manchester City is in good form in England Premier League and they won two home games at Etihad Stadium. Burnley did not win any of their last five matches in the Premier League and they won no away games.
Since Manchester City won 13 times in their past 17 meetings with Burnley, who do you think will carry the day?
As you ponder that, you can watch out for Brentford City Vs Chelsea on October 16 and Arsenal Vs Crystal Palace on October 18.
Fans of the Champions League have not been left out this week either. Key highlights include Club Brugge as they go head-to-head with Manchester City starting on 19 October at Jan Breydel Stadium in Belgium.
The match is a part of the UEFA Champions League, which will also see Atletico Madrid and Liverpool battle on the same date, and Barcelona Vs Dinamo Kyiv on October 2021. Of course, there are more games that will feature, as the fixtures below will show.
On La Liga, you can look forward to Celta Vigo Vs Sevilla on October 17 in a battle that could come two ways – a win for either of the teams. However, Celta Vigo has only registered only 1 win in the last four home games. So, your guess of the winner is as good as anyones.
In another thrilling La Liga game, Barcelona will host Valencia on 17 October at Camp Nou stadium, Barcelona city, Spain. Barcelona has played against Valencia in 2 matches this season. In their previous meetings, Barcelona has mostly won the matches, which makes this particular game interesting considering the possible outcome.
