Lawyer Evans Monari Dies At Nairobi Hospital

He died at Nairobi Hospital on Tuesday morning.

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Lawyer, Mr. Evans Monari is dead. He died at Nairobi Hospital on Tuesday morning. The lawyer had been at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the hospital for two months.

Evans Monari was a lawyer to President Uhuru Kenyatta and represented him at the International Criminal Court (ICC) on charges on crimes against humanity.

Earlier, family and friends had appealed for financial help after his hospital bill shot past 16 million shillings. Despite having an insurance cover, it is said that his insurance provider “refused to help in settling the bill.”
