Standard Group Top Gainer Of The Day, Home Afrika Tails

The top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange this Wednesday was Standard Group with 6.21 percent at the price of 17.10 shillings per share followed by Liberty Kenya with 4.36 percent at the price of 8.14 shillings per share.

HF Group and WPP ScanGroup gained 1.89 and 1.82 percent at the price of 3.77 and 5.04 shillings per share respectively while Centum Investments Company gained 1.45 percent at the price of 17.45 shillings per share.

The top loser of the day was Home Afrika. The company lost 5.00 percent at the price of 0.38 shillings per share followed by Umeme who shed off 4.41 percent at the price of 6.50 shillings per share.

Sasini, TPS Eastern Africa (Serena), and Nairobi Securities Exchange lost 3.53, 3.03, and 2.80 percent at the price of 19.15, 16.00, and 9.04 shillings per share respectively.

Kenya Re-Insurance was the top mover of the day with 3.08 million shares. This was the only company that moved volumes above a million. All the others had less than a million.

Kenya Power and Lighting Company moved 865,600 while Umeme moved 671,100. Kenya Electricity Generating Company moved 534,400 followed by Safaricom who moved 482,500.
