6 Confirmed Dead, 8 Injured As Twin Explosions Rock Kampala

Two explosions have been reported at Kooki towers, opposite Central Police Station (CPS) in Kampala and at Jubilee Insurance House near Parliament buildings, Uganda.

Two explosions have been reported at Kooki towers, opposite Central Police Station (CPS) in Kampala and at Jubilee Insurance House near Parliament buildings, Uganda.

Six people have been confirmed dead including two police officers, eight confirmed injuries. At the same time, 1 more bomb was discovered at the transformer of Kooki Tower opp CPS and has been detonated, 2 more bombs discovered near Buganda Road court.

First responders included Red Cross personnel who were using fire extinguishers to curb the fire on Parliamentary avenue. Some bystanders complained about the delayed response by the Police.

Bomb squad operatives have started arriving and ambulances to evacuate some people that could have been injured by the explosion

There was another explosion that went off at the Central Police Station, in Kampala, just at the entrance of the police station. Our reporter Ali Mivule is also there to tell us more.
