Agricultural Companies Listed At The NSE

There are seven agricultural companies listed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange. They are:

1. Eaagads Ltd
2. Limuru Tea Co. Ltd
3. Williamson Tea Kenya Ltd
4. Kapchorua Tea Co. Ltd
5. Rea Vipingo Platantaions Ltd
6. Kakuzi
7. Sasini Ltd

Eaagads deals with coffee. It was established in 1946 as a grower of coffee. The company was incorporated as a private limited liability company.

Limuru Tea, Williamson Tea, and Kapchorua Tea, as their second names suggest, deal with the plantation, purchasing, processing, and selling of tea. Sasini deals with both coffee and tea.

Rea Vipingo is the largest Sisal fiber producer in Africa. The Rea Vipingo Group is a well-established agricultural business, headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. Although the sector has been troubled, the company is still trading its shares.

Kakuzi PLC is a Kenyan agricultural cultivation and manufacturing company. Its products include avocados (of which it has been Kenya’s largest exporter), blueberries, macadamia, tea, livestock, and commercial forestry.
