The solution, aimed at e-commerce and direct-to-consumer businesses that do not have storage or delivery systems, to pick, pack, and ship orders to their customers charges a fee of 13% of the product’s selling price
Now more than ever, retailers believe that the success of the retail sector will be built on the foundation of the platform since it has grown to be fast, secure, and effective in handling deliveries.
The service insulates them from the high operational costs that come with logistics. A state-of-the-art Fulfillment Centre coupled with multiple picking locations has already been set across Nairobi.
According to Sendy, without standard fulfillment and logistics capabilities, a large portion of Kenya’s 1.5 million registered small enterprises and burgeoning online entrepreneurs face expensive logistics and storage costs, as well as a significant amount of time spent on logistics.
For Sendy Ltd, the fulfillment solution seems to be working perfectly well. This means that the retailers who are the main beneficiaries of the service are no longer facing the myriad of problems of transportation, packaging, shipping, etc.
At the same time, the final goal of getting the products to customers conveniently and timely by the retailer is also achieved.
With the fulfillment service, Sendy will focus on the logistics and let you, the retailer focus on growing your business. logistics plays an essential part in supply chain management. Sendy will plan and coordinate the movement of your products timely, safely, and effectively.
Since half of Africa’s population will have access to the internet by 2025, Sendy’s projection of continuous success in supporting e-commerce might be a reality, since online shopping may account for $75 billion, or 10% of total retail sales.
Furthermore, Innovative business models and better-optimized supply chains, including fulfillment, are projected to drive development in the face of infrastructural problems, tough operating environments for small firms, and a new crop of businesses.
