The top loser of the day was Sameer Africa shed off 6.51 percent at the price of 2.44 shillings per share followed by TPS Eastern Africa (Serena) with a loss of 6.15 percent at the price of 12.20 shillings per share.

The top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange on Thursday was Sanlam Kenya with 7.31 percent at the price of 13.95 shillings per share followed by Umeme with 6.90 percent at the price of 6.20 shillings per share.

Williamson Tea Kenya and Standard Group gained 5.43 and 4.33 percent respectively at the price of 136.00 and 15.65 shillings per share respectively. Sasini gained 2.63 percent at the price of 21.50 shillings per share.

Equity Group and KCB Group moved 1.43 million and 683,500 shares respectively with a capitalization of 200 and 147.49 billion shillings respectively. Kenya Re-Insurance moved 522,400 shares.
