Evans Cheruiyot Wins The SportPesa Midweek Jackpot

A 26-year-old Evans Cheruiyot from Nakuru County, Molo, Kuresoi North has won the SportPesa Midweek Jackpot smiling all the way to the bank with a cheque of 6,546,555 shillings. The Midweek Jackpot was won by two Kenyans who had to share the amount equally.

Cheruiyot is an SME farmer who has been doing small-scale farming for food crops. With the cash from SportPesa, the father of one plans to buy a bigger piece of land and mechanize his farming and increase his portfolio for revenue income.

“The money I’ve won from SportPesa will lift my life out of poverty. It’s been difficult to get along without finances to support my farming activities. But this amount will enable me to buy land, do more profitable farming, and better the lives of my family,” he added

Cheruiyot started playing when he was 20 years old and has been winning on various multi-bets but last week’s jackpot is one of his major wins. He placed one jackpot with 99 shillings and did not “actually expect to be among the winners.”

“I didn’t believe that I’d won. I took the phone to my friend to read it to me. After confirming it was true, I couldn’t hide my excitement,” Evans says.
