KEY TAKEAWAYS

The second night of WrestleMania will be headlined by a 'Winner Takes All' match for the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship, as Roman Reigns battles Brock Lesnar in one of the most eagerly-anticipated clashes.

Fans of the WWE can gear up for another thrilling Pay-Per-View event, WrestleMania, which will be held at the Dome at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on the mornings of Sunday 3 and Monday 4 April 2022. SuperSport will air the event live and feature prime time repeats later on both days.

No rival can compete with SuperSport‘s coverage. Our viewers on DStv and GOtv have found their #HomeOfSport.

WrestleMania is the biggest and most glamorous event on the WWE calendar, with every superstar on the roster hoping to see their names up in lights. This year’s WrestleMania will again be split up into two nights of action, with the headline matches on the first evening seeing Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair putting their titles on the line against Bianca Belair and Ronda Rousey respectively.

Lynch will battle Belair – who was one of the major highlights of last year’s WrestleMania when she defeated Sasha Banks for her first title – for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship, while Flair will defend her SmackDown Women’s title against former MMA world champion Rousey.

“I’m not impressed by Rousey’s skill set or her submission moves,” insisted Flair. “She has a limited amount of moves and I can see every one of them coming from a mile away. Ronda Rousey is going to find herself swimming in very deep waters against ‘The Queen’.”

The second night of WrestleMania will be headlined by a ‘Winner Takes All’ match for the WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship, as Roman Reigns battles Brock Lesnar in one of the most eagerly-anticipated clashes.

These two giants in the WWE universe have been circling each other for some time now, with Reigns – the WWE Universal Champion – and Lesnar – the WWE Champion – both caring less about the belts than the chance to claim a victory over another apex alpha male.

“Roman Reigns has had the longest run as Universal Champion in WWE history,” Lesnar admitted. “But that will mean nothing when he steps into the ring to face me. I’m going to break him, take his title and leave his reputation in tatters. This will be the end of Reigns as ‘The Tribal Chief’, mark my words.”

WrestleMania will also feature matches such as Edge v AJ Styles – as the two all-time greats finally go head-to-head – a grudge showdown between Johnny Knoxville and Sami Zayn, the Usos defending their WWE SmackDown Tag Team titles against Shinsuke Nakamura & Rick Boogs, as well as a Fatal Four-Way match for the Women’s Tag Team Championship when  Queen Zelina & Carmella defend against Sasha Banks & Naomi, Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan, as well as Natalya & Shayna Baszler.

Now GOtv viewers can also enjoy some world-class WWE action every Wednesday evening on SuperSport GOtv Select3, with a past Pay-Per-View (17:00 CAT), WWE 205 (21:00 CAT), and a documentary (21:30 CAT).
